HummingbirdHR is built on a legacy of strength, service, and possibility. My grandmother, Gloria Dean, was a successful Black woman in business starting in the 1950s. She showed me what resilience looks like and how clear, intentional structure can surface potential that might otherwise be missed. That foundation runs deep.

My parents were both people leaders, and our dinner table conversations gave me a front-row seat to the tension of leading while being led. Those perspectives shaped how I see organizations and inspired me to build spaces rooted in clarity, empathy, and accountability, where people are trusted to lead from where they are.

The hummingbird reflects all of this. It is a symbol of adaptability, purpose, and quiet strength. HummingbirdHR is more than a name. It is a reflection of the people and values that shaped me.

Today, I partner with life sciences leaders navigating real change. Not just in plans or systems, but in how people show up, make decisions, and work through what comes next. I bring clarity to complexity and collaborate with teams to identify what matters most. I create tailored frameworks that drive alignment, accountability, and adaptability, and make space for empowered leadership.
